How Do I Know What's Selling and Who's Buying My Courses?

Learn about sales & promotional code reporting, viewing orders, and notifications.

Viewing Sales Reporting

RapidLMS has a number of different pulled reports and views for digging into your sales information; depending on your specific needs, you may find certain reports more useful than others, so let's explore what's available.

Sales - Line Item Taxes

In your RapidLMS account, navigate to "Sales - Line Item Taxes" in the Reports section of your account.

This report provides the most information on sales and refunds, and can be filtered, and exported to an .xlsx file, by storefront(s), organization(s), and dates.

THINK: What sort of activity has been happening on my storefront this week?

For each item sold or refunded this report provides a record of Stripe Transaction ID, storefront, organization, course author, SKU, currency, price, promo details, tax, along with consumer details.

Sales

In your RapidLMS account, navigate to "Sales" in the Reports section of your account.

This report provides information on sales only, and can be filtered, and exported to an .xlsx file, by storefront(s) and dates; this report links to specific receipts for orders.

THINK: What have I sold this week?

For each item sold this report provides a record of Stripe Transaction ID, storefront, organization, course author, SKU, currency, price, promo details, tax, along with consumer details and links to the storefront or order receipt directly.

Orders

In your RapidLMS account, navigate to "Orders" in the Storefront section of your account.

This page will allow you to view receipts by displaying date, consumer day, total, promos, and purchase; search for specific receipts.

THINK: What did this specific consumer buy?

For each order, a card with details is displayed and further detail, including the full receipt is accessed by clicking "View Receipt."

Course Sales

In your RapidLMS account, navigate to "Course Sales" in the Reports section of your account.

This report provides information on sales by course, and can be filtered, and exported to an .xlsx file, by storefront(s), organization(s) and dates; this report does not show consumer information.

THINK: How many purchases have been made of a specific course in the last week?

For each item sold this report provides a quantity, date and storefront.

Viewing Promotional Code Usage

In your RapidLMS account, navigate to "Promotional Code Usage" in the Reports section of your account.

This report provides information on instances of promotional code usage, and can be filtered, and exported to an .xlsx file, by promotional code and date.

THINK: How times did my campaign's promotional code get used?

For each usage this report provides a product, storefront, savings, and user.

Setting Up Sales Notifications

In your RapidLMS account, navigate to "Settings" in the Storefront section of your account.

In the Notifications tab, you can add recipients for a pushed notification for each order on the storefront.

This is especially useful when a course or product may require action by an administrator or includes a shipped hard-good product.
